ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORSErnest Choi is the owner of Arjuna Movement Arts. He holds a B.A. in Music from Baldwin Wallace College and an M.A. in Somatic Studies from The Ohio State University. His training in movement disciplines includes 18 years in Chinese martial arts, contemporary dance and performance, and studies in practices including performative and traditional dance forms, the Alexander Technique and Bartenieff Fundamentals. He has worked as movement coach for the OSU Opera Workshop and has taught T'ai Chi at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, The Ohio State University, and McConnell Heart Health Center, in Columbus, Ohio. Dianne Kadonaga is director of Arjuna Movement Arts, a national yoga instructor and a licensed occupational therapist. She is fascinated by the workings of the body and incorporates her medical knowledge and training in Alexander Technique and other somatic disciplines in her practice and teaching of yoga. She offers Experiential Anatomy Workshops for yoga practitioners, athletes, and performers, and Yoga Remedies Courses for healthcare professionals. Dianne's personal practice is Isha Yoga which she studies with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev from India. Lauren Morimoto is a fat woman who teaches physical education activity courses such as t'ai chi ch'uan social dance, yoga, movement and self-awareness, self-defense, and flag football at The Ohio State University. She is a doctoral candidate in Cultural Studies in Education with an emphasis in Somatics which seeks to explore and foster body-mind integration in a variety of fields including physical education, medicine, health promotion and education. Lauren has made presentations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom on body image, obesity and health, community relations, and women's health. |
