Inner Engineering Talk
with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev
We wanted to let people know of a wonderful opportunity right here in Columbus. Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is an international speaker, author and peace advocate with profound spiritual and cultural insights on health and human values. He is founder of the Isha Foundation, a nonprofit organization advancing physical, mental and spiritual health through Yogic science. He is a regular visitor to the United States, and will be conducting a week long Isha Yoga program in Columbus, Ohio, in the spring. This is the yoga teacher that Dianne & Fanny study with, and it would be our greatest wish for others to experience being in his presence. We hope you can join us. For information about this talk, link to: http://www.ishafoundation.org/e-brouchure/ColumbusJan2004.html.

Out on a Limb:
Experiential Anatomy of the Arms
With Dianne Kadonaga
In this yoga workshop, we will hone our perception of the joints of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers, identify patterns of muscle tension that prevent these joints from moving freely, and integrate the anatomical information throught the exploration of yoga postures. Included will be information on addressing symptoms such as tight or stiff shoulders & necks, rotator cuff injuries, elbow tendonitis (tennis elbow), and carpal tunnel syndrome. Modifications and accommodations for medical conditions will be give so that all can participate. All of this knowledge can then be integrated into yoga postures, performance movements, and daily activities.

Yoga Remedies for the Relief of Headaches,
Migraines, TMJ, and Stiff Necks & Shoulders
With Dianne Kadonaga
No medications in this workshop, but a natural prescription of gentle but effective stretching to bring awareness and relaxation to tight muscles, and simple anatomy to understand how misalignment patterns of the head with the spine can contribute, if not be the cause of headaches and stiff necks. Information from this experiential workshop can also help bring efficiency for athletes, musicians, yoga practitioners and other movers.

Yoga Remedies to Alleviate Breathing Difficulties
Due to Allergies, Anxiety,
Asthma & Sinus Congestion
With Dianne Kadonaga
Find out how knowing about your anatomical structure of your lungs and breathing apparati, can free up the movement of your body toward free and easy breathing, which can also promote relaxation to muscles that seize up, and prevent or ease symptoms. This information is also useful for runners and endurance athletes. Take home yoga based positions and ways of working and see what works best for you.

Double Your Fun: Partner Yoga
With Dianne Kadonaga
Take your yoga practice to new places with the assistance and support of another person. We are sometimes unaware of the patterns that affect our movement, thoughts, and everything else we do. While working with a partner, you will have the opportunity to bring increased awareness to each other's work, try alternatives that can set these patterns free! Some previous exposure to yoga is helpful but not necessary.

Experiential Anatomy of the Hips, Knees, Ankles, & Toes
With Dianne Kadonaga
Explore how a kinesthetic understanding of accurate anatomical information of the joints of the hips, knees, ankles, and toes, and the muscles that move them, can transform your yoga practice toward increased efficiency of movement, flexibility, strength, and endurance, in standing and balancing postures. Experiential Anatomy of the Spine:
A Yoga-Based Approach For Addressing Back Pain
With Dianne Kadonaga
Learn how you can increase flexibility and range of movement by refining your perception of your spine. Find comfort and ease in backbends, sidebends, and twists by distributing movement sequentially through the spinal joints to prevent stress and avoid injury. Approaching your yoga practice based on sound understanding of anatomical structure and function of the body can help find and eliminate patterns of movement and excessive muscle tension in neck and torso muscles, leading to greater efficiency and freedom of movement. Modifications and accommodations for medical conditions will be provided so that all can participate in their range of comfort.
